[wpspoiler name=”What is the cost of having a construction monitoring system in my project?” closebtn=”Close”]
Remontech operates in sites around the world, involving a wild range of equipment setups, site infrastructure, number of cameras, and other requirements.
Each project is different, and therefore it is hard to discuss pricing without knowing details of the project at hand.
As a rule of thumb, the more infrastructure is present on site, and the more support the client can provide us for the installation, and ongoing maintenance, the more impact it will have on the price of the service.
For example, the relative cost of having our system on a large mining project where the client is able to help Remontech so we can rely on existing resources for installation, power and internet connections, will be a lot lower than a smaller project on a greenfield site without any present infrastructure or resources.
Please contact us so we can learn more about your project and provide you with a firm proposal.

Remontech stands for “Remote Monitoring Technologies.”
We pride ourselves in considering jobs that are truly remote.
Though we are based in North America, we have conducted projects in places as far away as Brazil and Peru.
We understand that your project maybe far and in a remote location – and that is exactly why we would like to help you with remote monitoring services.
Contact us and lets see how we can collaborate.

[wpspoiler name=”Is your website/system secure?” closebtn=”Close”]
Remontech considers all data collected by our cameras to be yours.
This includes the live feed, recorded videos, snapshots, and all project information (including scheduling data) that we need access to in order to provide you with our services.
The live feed site is protected by password, which is shared only with our point of contact in your project.
The recorded data is not available online – only on an external media drive which is given to the client alone.
If you have any further concerns regarding the security of our system, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

[wpspoiler name=”Can I restrict who sees the camera feed?” closebtn=”Close”]
Yes.
You can create one username/password, or many, with different access levels and privileges.
For example, if your construction monitoring system has 3 fixed cameras and 1 remotely controlled, pan/tilt/zoom camera, you could have the following set up:
- User 1: Can see all 4 cameras and operate the pan/tilt/zoom camera
- User 2: Can see all 4 cameras, but not control the pan/tilt/zoom camera
- User 3: Can see only 2 cameras
- User 4: Can see all cameras for just 5 weeks, then his/her access will be denied
These are just some examples of how the system can be set up.

[wpspoiler name=”What is the resolution of the cameras Remontech uses?” closebtn=”Close”]
Remontech uses a variety of different cameras that produce different image qualities.
Though more and more the standard is becoming that of HDTV (720p or 1080p), in certain circumstances it is more beneficial to use cameras that produce standard definition images.
The type of project, its requirements, and other factors will go into deciding which type of camera is best for each situation.
Contact us with more information about your project and we will be happy to bring you into the design thought process.

[wpspoiler name=”How quickly can you get a system up and running?” closebtn=”Close”]
Depending on location and type of equipment needed, installation lead times may vary between a week to 60 days.
For example, if a project is close to either our office or another project we are monitoring, it is possible to get a system up and running within a week. If the project is very remote and specific equipment needs to be purchased, it might take up to 60 days to install.

[wpspoiler name=”What infrastructure is needed for Remontech’s construction camera system?” closebtn=”Close”]
As you can imagine, for our system to work well, we need three things:
- A place to mount it
- Power
- An Internet connection
Ideally, your construction project is able to supply all three of these items.
Realistically, it is typical that we find two of these three requirements in place.
Remontech can work with whatever infrastructure you have available on site.
In a worst case scenario, when there is no place to mount our system, no power, and no internet available, we have designed and built a number of mobile monitoring stations, which will provide all the infrastructure we need.

[wpspoiler name=”If something goes wrong and the camera system is down, how soon can you get it back up?” closebtn=”Close”]
Typically we can get a site back up and running between 24 hours and 3 days, depending on each situation.

[wpspoiler name=”We did not allow for this extra cost in the budget. How can we proceed?” closebtn=”Close”]
Very rarely is our cost part of the overall project budget. We often are brought in after the main contract is awarded.
Our clients typically are able to bring us in by using their contingency budget.

[wpspoiler name=”Do you provide construction scheduling consultancy services?” closebtn=”Close”]
Part of what differentiates Remontech is the fact that we are engineers, working for and with engineers.
Our director and scheduling specialist, Dr. Jorge Abeid, has a Ph.D. in construction management, and a lifetime of experience managing construction projects.
As a result, we often consult with our clients regarding their schedule, provide input, and in some cases, even create a schedule and Gantt chart for them if they don’t have one.

[wpspoiler name=”I’m interested in having cameras on site for security purposes. Do you provide this type of service?” closebtn=”Close”]
Though site security is not our main service, having cameras recording construction activity on site does provide an added level of security to construction projects.
If security is what you need, we have partnered with security companies so they can monitor the camera feed during the off hours and contact you or law enforcement if a break-in is detected.
Please contact us if security is your main concern. We will be delighted to help.

Contact us if you’d like a copy of our reference letters.
